Owners of greys tell me about owning one please

I've had several greys, only one had melanomas, which we lost him to, but he was the wrong side of 35, so that's fair.

I said I didn't want another for all the washing but I have one! He was just too nice to pass up.

Mines cremello not grey so cant speak to the tumors, but you do go blind to it! I often don't notice how muddy she is until someone comments on it! It all falls off/ brushes off by morning.. so just ride in the mornings ;)

Griege is the colour, not grey. :p My mare is rose griege most of the time. She adores mud. I have reconciled my thoughts, in that she is 20 and happy that colour, so why should I bother? She gets washed occasionally, and her tail gets washed regularly. She has had melanomas under her tail since she was 10. I keep them under surveillance and there are a few little ones (smooth) they have never got any larger - yet. She is a wonderful horse and I would buy a grey everytime.
