It’s something I’ll keep in mind, at the moment he responds very well to a firm direction from me that his behaviour is not of the required standards so all is good ?
That’s a rare thing in a terrier, of either sex! Mine has the look of “if I had fingers I’d be giving you the middle one” when I tell her off ?

yes ours is done
I think he's a terrier/terrier cross (weird smallish greyish wiry haired mutty thing with a face like an ewok from star wars and a bark that can shatter mirrors).
but he came from RSPCA so had the snip before we got him.

another family member has what is believed to be a jrt/corgi mix who is also done but went through a phase at the age of about 8 of humping legs for some reason.

The most aggressive JRT I had was a neutered bitch; she was tiny, and I had to pull her off rottweilers, dobermans (dobermen?), great danes, Irish wolfhounds, you name it. She also killed cats (bigger than her!). I swore I'd never have another after she died, but now I have Sammi, who is castrated, a bit growly at other dogs sometimes but never takes things further. Oh, and he still humps other dogs on occasion, but not seriously :)

My terrier is entire. We would have had him done but he's such an anxious personality that he needs the max confidence-boosting testosterone possible. He's now on anti-anxiety tablets as well, and finally we see the cocky little shit he really ought to be if he weren't so crippled by his fears. He is not very sexual, mostly scared of other dogs so leaves them alone (dog walker has no trouble with him) and only humps "monkey" his sex pillow, when he's really stressed about things ... I think he would do that neutered or not.

Sometimes we run into another entire male and my boy postures a bit. OK, a lot, but he has good recall so we normally just go the other way. His recall is good because he's scared of being left behind = one minor advantage of anxiety!
