Owners who never ride their horse? Competition livery

I do ride my horse but I get equal, if not more pleasure, from watching more capable riders compete her so I completely understand. It's like a proud mom moment. If she was high level I'd have no problem at all turning her over to someone else!

ME! I have a mare who hasn't been ridden in over 2 years. She is happy, I am happy, who cares?

If I found someone who I thought was good enough to ride her (she is incredibly sharp!!!) then I would happily watch them ride her.

If one more person tells me "she must be bored" or "But she had so much potential" or even "you don't ride so you should sell her" I will hit them! She doesn't care if she gets to stand in a field all day and eat instead of hack or school, infact she would rather stay in the field with her mates! And she doesn't know she had the potential to go up the dressage levels, or SJ 1m30 courses, she doesn't dream about it at night and she doesn't care if she isn't ridden.

She is too old (15) and quirky (sharp as nails to ride, Stage 1 heart murmur, torn muscle in hindquater, prone to colitis and eye infections) to be passed on and to be honest, we are both happy, healthy and I enjoy her as a pet! :D
