This obviously involves paperwork - contracts. But what about insurance - how do you go about paying for the insurance and who is the named party? Anyone ever done this kinda thing? PM if you prefer - many thanks!

Edited due to shocking spelling!!

I had an event horse in partnership with the rider. I paid x amount per month and I also paid for the insurance (which included vets fees). She paid for shoeing, entries, bits of tack etc. It was a fairly flexible arrangement and seemed to work for us.

The insurance gets split between the two owners equally, but comes out of a bank account that the owners pay an equal amount of money into each month to cover bills. Whoever wants to be the named party is in my experience, it dosent really matter which one of you is on the insurance documents.

I used to ride a horse owned by a syndicate, there was 4 of them.. as said above, they all payed an equal amount and they had one person incharge of everything.. As the rider i usually spoke to/kept intouch with this person, and then they would relay everything to the other members..

Are you talking about the sexy H?? if so, i nominate muself as rider
