Lol, had my first proper lesson on Sunday since May last year, and by golly had I forgotten how much effort it takes!! Hacking out just isn't the same when you're not paying attention to your riding techique lol!

After 10 minutes of work, my legs were already complaining, was definitely a good workout once the 30 minutes were up. Was very sore for about an hour, then all ok, until Monday morning.. The inside of my thighs were and still are killing! I've done the bath thing but please tell me it'll go away soon, and will stop once I get back into the swing of things :D

That a side, it was a fab lesson! I know I've got bad habits and now is this time to rectify them, before I start riding my own boy next year.

Pointless post but really glad to be working properly back in the saddle again, even if I can't quite walk properly :D

I dont have a horse to ride properly at the moment but when I do I know I am going to feel that pain. I havent had a lesson in over a year and still cringe at the pain in my tummy!!

Lol, yes, it will go :D

My instructor despairs of me as I'm not currently fit enough to trot two twenty metre circles :o, but I do remember all of this from last year and I do remember that it got better and easier quite quickly, so not all doom and gloom :D :D. At least you have a good memory to make up for the ouching :D

Yay, glad to hear it! I swear it didn't hurt this much last year, but maybe that's because I was starting at the beginning and slow going from there... Rather than almost a year break and then a full blown lesson haha.

Happyhack - omg yes, don't think I've used my stomach muscles for quite some time!

MrsMozart - I'm definitely on the 'trying to get fitter' wagon, after the pics of me from Sunday where I look like a squashed marshmallow, I really need to reduce the dreaded wobbly tum... lol!!
