the padding of my hat has gotten a bit deflated and making it a bit loose and uncomfortable.

can anyone recommend what they used to pad up their hat? i was thinking about that one sided foam tape but looking for it, it seems such a thing doesnt exist?! its all double sided.

any help appreciated

Oh blimey..In that case take it back to where you got it from and get them to replace it..Even if someone else has been using it it shouldn't of got that bad so soon..

Nope, you can't. No shop would take it back, either, unless you could prove it was either faulty OR had had it fitted in store and had some way of proving it'd been misfitted. A lot won't take them back even unused as they can't see any internal damage that would render it useless. Was it the same brand and size you'd had before?

i had returned a hat previously to another company because when it came it was broken and the wrong size but obviously this is totally different.

it was the same size but a different brand.

^ Yes, if it comes faulty/mangled they should take it back. Problem is that sizes vary so much between brands - think I've had a 5cm difference before! And they're suited to different head shapes, etc. etc. Annoying but best to get a new one fitted, esp. if it's a different brand :(

i know its a pain, i still have one sitting in my cupboard that id ordered that was too small and ive been trying to sell it as they wouldnt take it back, on top of this one that now is too big! wasted so much money on them.

Bin it if the padding has gone and then find a shop with a range of manufacturers hats on offer and a qualified hat fitter.

Anything you do to bodge it to make it fit could fail with really bad results if you were to fall while wearing it.

i got it a matter of weeks ago! dont have the money to buy a new hat every month. think someone at the yard has been borrowing it ive used it maybe a handful of times

If someone at the yard has been borrowing it this could well be why it no longer fits you :(

I've always been told not to share hats for this reason.

When I had my hat fitted I was told you could get inserts (as my head is small they thought this might help me, I just went to a different manufacturer though!).

Something like this might help... Although personally I wouldn't without a fitters advice...

EDIT to say as someone else has mentioned this might make it less effective in a fall...
I'm certainly NOT recommending it BUT you did ask for padding for a hat so there it is...

ugh looks like ill need to get another hat then :( making my total up to 3! should find out whos been using my hat and tell them theyre bloody paying for it

I would! Cheeky sods!

When you get your new one don't leave it at the yard if possible? or hide it so they can't use it...

Maybe leave your old one there so the cheek so and so's can use that instead of your new one!
