I have heard this expression used quite alot recently but not sure what it means?what gait would you see it in?and what leg etc?

I believe paddling is the name given to the way laminitic horses keep fidgeting their weight from one foot to another in an effort to ease their pain.

Sorry it's nothing to do with lamanitics fidgeting, it's about the gait. Dishing is the term used to describe an inward swing of the hoof with each stride & winging and paddling is the opposite & describe outward-swinging foot flight.
