Paddock Toppers

Having spent a small fortune and having to wait for an "appointment" to top my paddocks I'm thinking of getting a petrol powered topper for the quad (OH has broken the ride-on mower again !) . We only have 4 acres, so its not much. However is it just near on impossible to find a reasonably cheap secondhand petrol topper !!

So, if anyone knows of a second-hand one, or spots one, can you let me know. Cheers.

I just wanted to ask do you normall top it then with a ride on lawnmower and if so do you take the clippings up immediately? I only ask as I am having a problem of too much grass and my OH wants to mow it with the ride on lawnmower but we dont have a grass collecting box thing for it. I have been trying to do some research as I understand that clippings are bad but is it ok if you leave it a while first and then put them back in it?

Grass clippings that are like what you get when you mow the lawn with a conventional lawnmower that are very small and compacted are bad news and would need to be collected, however "topped" clippings which are long and not compacted are fine, depends on how your sit-on lawnmover cuts.
