i am about to purchase a new sweetitch rug for my pony.
i know a lot of people on the forum will say that the boett is the best but somehow i just cant seem to want to part with £200.
so
who has got a pagony one and what do you think of them.
i could kit my cob out for a 1/3 of the price at divorza.

oh,what to do?????

last year she wore a snuggy for a bit which is too big and an ordinary fly sheet with either a lycra hood or a bonnett.she only got bitten by her udder and between the neck part and the bonnet,so we done quite well,i think.i use leccy fence all the time too.
thank you

Ive looked into these and intend getting one for Breeze because they look the same as the boetts, fit the same and at the price are worth a try. There is something about them on the Icelandic horse website and are recommended.

um,on the divorza i would pay bout £70 and on the icelandic site it`s nearly double that(incl hoods).why is that?

I got a rug from icelandics for my shetland last year and I would class him as having servere sweetitch to the point where he gets that stressed he gets nosebleeds. The rug has been fantastic and they use the same material as the older Boetts. I would definately buy another one again, the only thing that has happened is that the colour has faded, but I can live with that! He has just started wearing it again, poor little man.

The pagony measures up almost exactly the same as a boett. However the material is thinner.

I use the Pagony and the Ultimate on my own horse (the only reason we stock them is because my horse has sweet itch!)

Bum coverage on the ultimate never been a problem, but then I use another fly rug on top to preserve my sweet itch rugs anyway, as I expect them to last for at least two seasons.

Sorry..just re read my post!! I was referring to the pagony which the icelandic site claims to be for milder sweet itch. They also do their version of the Boett for the more severe cases.. is that the one you have?..
