Paid for my entry for first Dressage test

What have I done

I have never done a dressage test before in my life, I am doing it for experience and for fun I still cant believe I paid to do it I am not expecting anything I am doing it purely for fun, it is only prelim 7 so easy enough.

Just a quick question what colour saddlecloth do I have to wear? Erm not sure I have anything else to ask but feel free to leave any pointers for me and the boy

White saddle cloth - You will be fine; It's not that hard x

I no I know the test im just a bit excited and nervous hehe.
I just got everyone on the yard coming to watch which is a bit nerve wracking :S

hello, i need to ask that question as well lol, you see we dont buy white saddle cloths as they are so damn hard to keep clean and looking good enough so we tend to buy dark or other colours! for local level do you think a fitted numnah would be aceptable or a very light pink saddle cloth?

You don't have to have any particular colour, just keep it neat & professional looking. Avoid anything too gaudy, white is popular but a cloth or numnah that matches your saddle is also perfectly acceptable.

Well I dont have white well I have a white fitted one, but The only saddle cloths I have are dark colours or light hehe. Is an excuse to get one mind

As Nari said, you don't HAVE to have a particular colour. I've just looked in my BD rulebook, & it doesn't say anything about saddle cloths apart from rules re sponsor logos & union jack flags. You should be fine with anything not too garish.

Thanks for that, its a week today Im looking forward to it shall be good fun, I know ben isnt going to outstand the judges or anything Im just going for fun

Yay!!!! Let me know what time you're on so I can cheer you on as well!!! I'm not taking Chloe or Megan now, but am going along to watch as I want a nosy round the yard as well to make sure they're going to take good care of Chlo!

I just use either a black or brown numnah when I do dressaging

You'll be fine, Prelim 7 is a nice straightforward test

Oh, and I actually prefer white saddle cloths for dressage but brown, black etc. are acceptable
