Flick has managed to wrench a muscle running around the field tonight - she was fine at the time, then started screaming every time she moved just as we were driving through Ledbury town centre

Normally I would stuff half an asprin down her but havent got any, and pesky mother is on the phone so I cant ask her - is there anything else I can give her as a mild pain killer? I know she will be fine by tomorrow, but she is doing the pathetic trembling thing

Yep I've got ibuprofen - I usually take Anadin extra myself you see, which is a combination one

Is it half an Ibuprofen tablet too, the same as asprin?

Have got arnica but it is at the yard for the horse

Do you have one of those hot/cold wheatgerm pads (usually come in pig/cow/bear form) that you can either put in the microwave or freezer.I would heat it up a little and see if Flick will lay there while you apply to sore bits.It might help with the healing.

Oh dear I feel useless, I know what you mean but havent got one

Thankfully she seems happier now she is asleep on the sofa next to me and has completely relaxed

Funny little dog, I have no idea what she did

No please dont give her ibruprofen! I saw a poor dog die from being given that.

If she is asleep now id leave her and see what she is like in the morning, sometimes a bit of rest works wonders! Fingers crossed

Got to admit I googled Ibuprofen and dogs and thought eek

I am going to try some healthy neglect and see what happens..

ETA: OK, I am definitely going to try healthy neglect as she has just leapt to her feet and dashed out into the garden after a mythical cat without a murmur
