Since I have had this pony he always seems to have a painless large lump on his spine after he is ridden - I have tried numerous saddles all different widths and brands different saddles pads no pads - non really make a difference except one dense half pad that I have cut the spine out of it completely and this seems to do just the job no lump pony completely straight - my question is has any one else had an issue like this and can anyone offer any advice - I am not sure really what to do about it to be honest and riding bareback is not really an option

Pony is a 5 yr Connie medium wide wither - we are getting the Native pony lady out to try fit him with one of their saddles to see if that makes a difference.
TIA
