since bad news on Sunday finished painting 5 stables should finish 6th today.
Bawled my eyes out again reading about Spooky and Bobbie, didn't know I had any tears left, at 60 losing a beloved animal, it doesn't get any easier.
Read the numpties shouldn't school post, had steam coming out of my ears and down my nose, Oh the arrogance of youth. then I started reading the replies and ended up having a good chuckle and a craving for a pkt of jaffa cakes.
So thank you all, the lead in my chest is a little lighter and my black cloud has a faint grey tinge.

I am so sorry for your loss I dont think death ever gets easier - so have your Jaffa cakes and get out there and finish painting!

Its funny how mundane tasks can be quite soothing in times of trouble. I think it allows your mind to wander and your brain to sort the turmoil out.

ps - can I have a jaffa cake too please?

What a lovely post JohnRobert, although I'm sorry to read you're sad news

I also find having a flick over the posts on HHO gets my emotions going and can often be found in front of my laptop with steam out my ears or tears in my eyes

Sorry for your loss, but rememer you did it because you loved them, and it is the strongest show of love you can give a dignified sleep

Sorry to hear of your loss and I agree that age doesn't make losing a loved one any easier sadly.

Know what you mean about the numpty post, annoying and funny

When reading a post like that I can understand why jaffa cakes would help - they're very yummy
