Hello,

I want to paint the inside of my Rice Beaufort trailer, I have read lots of threads regarding painting the outside and what paint is best but not the inside. Please can anyone me what product they used or give me any top tips to paint the inside of their horsebox?

Look forward to hear from you :)

Alice

If you're worried about having to cope with urine and muck, I would suggest something fairly tough, you can't do better than a two pack epoxy paint.

Suggest you try Paints4trade, they are pretty helpful.

Of course you will be restricted to RAL colours which will no doubt upset the horses who were looking forward to an on-trend Farrow&Ball colour :)

I used barn tech paint in white , it's for wood but I done my Bockmann horse trailer fibre glass with it and look brilliant it even goes on metal.

Thanks all :) Mine is metal inside too, but there is the odd bit of plastic and wood I think too. Would the above give a good finish? Also did you just use a standard paint brush to apply the paint??

I've got pics of it but don't k ow how to upload to here. Yer lovely finish I used roller and wide paint brush, used there black on the outside of trailer and white in inside. It's as dear as outside paint. A 2.5l done the walls and ceiling inside of my trailer (fits 2x 16.2hh in it.

Generally foam roller gives the best finish, but prep is key. What's it like right now? Scabrous or do you just want a colour change?

Would I need to sand and prime the inside before applying the paint? There is the odd bit of rust inside but generally the condition is very good.
