The weather was horrible. It rained heavily when we were warming up and sleeted when we did the test. The judge kept us standing in the sleet for 5 minutes waiting to start the test.

A friend of mine was grooming for me and she warmed Charlie in. Charlie put her on the floor...

Despite all of this, we were placed 2nd with 61,3% as the judge liked our test's composition, particularly cantering 2-abreast. My "groom" videoed it and it looked a lot better than it felt at the time!

Wow! I can't even get my head round freestyle on my own, never mind in pairs! It showed determination to do it in horrible weather, please can we see the video ?(Purely to steal ideas, you understand!)

Cool! Do you have to make your own test up? What music did you use? KatB - if your reading I fancy doing this next year - up for it?

The video is still on my friend's camcorder.

We made the test up between us and the music was "Hung Up" by Madonna. We used the same music throughout as we didn't have time to compose a piece especially.

The hardest bit was keeping in synch as my horse covers the ground a lot more in trot, but he can collect a lot more in canter, so I was always on the inside for the 2-abreast canters.
