Does such a thing exist? Its for one of the ferals so has to go in food - and I've tried a ground up worming tablet only for it to be treated with disdain. She went mousing and I have a feeling the resident fox ate the food.

Year old (ish) cat who twice now has coughed up bile with worms in it so definitely needs doing. She isn't particularly active and has a bit of a bloated belly look so I suspect she's riddled. The rescue told me they did her when they got her (Nov 25) but I'm not entirely convinced - she's only been out of captivity a month and these are big worms.

Just need something I can hide in a bowl of something expensive without her little nose twitching from a mile away in horror.
 
Pill pockets might work, particularly if rolled in a bit of Lick-e-lix and incorporated into a small meal. Hang around and check it's gone. (this is the method we use for daily steroids for our 'please don't touch me or feed me anything weird' girl)

that's worth a try.

I assumed they were hungry enough to eat mashed up pill in food, but apparently not!
 
If I crush practically any pill and try to hide it in food she just sits in the middle of the kitchen staring at me like I've lost my mind. She won't even approach the bowl 🤣 they just know, apparently!
 
To ensure no contamination of the pill pocket itself I've found the best way is to tip the pill onto a surface without touching it, wash hands (in case), squash pocket into a flat disc, press it down onto pill so it picks it up and then form it around the pill carefully. Crazy I know. Pill must be completely veiled from the 6th sense they clearly possess!
 
Arden grange liver (or salmon) paste is brilliant for med hiding. Makes lovely little balls.

Personally I’ve found milbemax the most palatable (still needs hiding in tasty things) but it’s vet prescription only which I can appreciate isn’t ideal for a feral. (When I kept forgetting to sort mine one and got something else from pets at home he was NOT IMPRESSED)

Thanks. I'm going to try pill pockets and if no success I'll speak to the vets we have our house cat with.

I genuinely thought ferals wouldn't be too fussy about food. I was wrong!!
 
I use Panacur granules. Both of my cats will eat that in gravy/broth based food. They were rather more skeptical when I used the larger sachets (they are big cats), but still ate it. That covers both roundworm and tapeworm. For lungworm you can feed over 3 days (check that!).
 
I always found wrapping the pill in a small amount of smoked salmon worked a treat. Possibly because it's strong smelling enough to disguise the pill to cat noses as well as being tasty. It also meant I got to eat most of the rest of the smoked salmon! 😂
