what are your opinions on this stallion. is there seman available and where can get hold of it and whta is the stud fee as i am struggling to find anything about him and as i have seen a lovely young horse by him he is on my short list for next year

i saw this horse first when it did the loose jumpig as a3 yo and he was special over a fence then, but looked like he needed to grow and fill out, but man did he jump.... galoubet was never used to produce pretty horses. i believe Sandra Lyne Cordinar comes from Peterhead and also owns the good stallion Ludwig... i think Pallmall looks very athletic similar in lots of ways to Baloubet de roet

She does indeed own Ludwig, he was the grandsire of my yearling. Very nice horses. Sandra is still based just outside Peterhead.

Pall Mall's breeding is classic - Galoubet x Grannus x the full sister of Grandeur. I am of the opinion that his stallion potential is superb and that he is not an end product.

PM has not been used as a stallion since he joined Peter Charles, and although it was hoped that he could have semen taken from him this year, his competition commitments have escalated as he exceeded everybody's expectations. He is still on the comeback trail after an injury but jumped superbly at Aachen and then Hickstead.

I understand that PM is likely to be available next year by frozen taken over the winter. As with many stallions (i.e. Peppermill), they may not take semen during the competition season and compromise his jumping career. There is no certain stud fee as of yet.

With what he has produced from a handful of mares in Scotland, his ability and genetics, PM could be a real plus for British breeding.

Pall Mall H did not fail his grading. He was graded with the SSH back in 2001 and was given "Listed" status. He was not over utilised as a breeding stallion, and I heard this was due to people having some issues when it came to foaling his foals. I gather there have only been a handful of foals born to him, and I think only one or two have ever come forward for grading.

The stallion is no longer listed with the SSH as a graded stallion, and I gather this is because he is now Approved with Equicours instead, the owner obviously preferring this Studbook to the latter.

There is no doubt that this stallion has superb breeding (especially coming from the Musterds in Holland), is a fantastic showjumper with much potential, but I would not utilise him for breeding due to the aforementioned, and any stock have a long way to go before proving themselves.

The owner of the horse, from what I have heard, has worked very hard to get her stallions where they are today, so full credit to her! I certainly wish her continued success with them, as Pall Mall H is a superb jumping horse and I think we have yet to see the best in him.

I rode Jack "Pall Mall H" when Andrew Hamilton had the ride of him, he is a belter!!!!
Throws big foals if i remember correctly

My friend Morag Crocket has a lovely son of Jack (Baby Guy), who Ellen Whitaker currently has the ride of im sure.
