Just made me chuckle slightly as I scanned through H&H at my desk... she aint wrong there

"I have become an avid reader of internet forums. Both HHO and BD make interesting viewing, wiht many contributors putting forward valid points - although ruthless in speech on many occasions -and much debate going on"

Then goes on to say

"I have gained an insight to much via these forums. I've even joined in; firstly with a false name, which apparently is the "in" thing to do, but having felt like a cheat I now use the name I was born with......... I wonder if all chairmen and members of BD committees log on to these forums, they should be compulsory browsing for all in positions of power. Many a good idea pops up and more importantly members opinions can be heard at their most forthright"

Sorry, there is more, but my copy typing is awful!

TBH is makes sense for professionals and industry bods to keep abreast of grass root feelings, as after all we are the majority and play a big part in the income going into the horse industry. Also the forum is a great source of information and feedback, if I was running a horse related business and it got negative feedback I would make changes, pronto.

That is what I like about the forums, you don't know who is reading/ taking part, you can say what you think without any reprisels (apart from when your spelling is as bad as mine! is spell check available on here?)
I wonder if BE, BD, BSJA etc officials read them ,they should they would get a true and unbaised opinion.

I am now wondering if any of you are secretly Pammy Hutton... (Or is this a double bluff?)

If I was PH then this post could be viral marketing, inciting people to buy H&H and read her column
grin.gif

But sadly I am not.....

I first went on HHO to look at views on the company I worked for and keep abreast of debates in the relevant area - then I got hooked

Seriously though, I agree with Pammy, I think it is a really useful insight for everyone who is trying to run a discipline. Good on her

But the question is.... am I?

Based on your posting history, I would say possibly not.... but what do I know

I can promise you she is on here under her own name.. As I discovered when my husband attended one of her dressage clincs and she asked him if he was "Mr Henryhorn" so she could comment on something I had said about Talland!
I told him afterwards he should have acted daft and said no, but as I got to know her later, she is actually ok, her bark is worse than her bite

Haha. Must post about more important posts instead of ignorant questions.

It would be infinitely more interesting if she had a mystery name. It would turn into a online 'Who Dunnit'!

She's on the user index.

She wont be for must longer now that she's been sprung!!

Get thinking quick Pammy for a new name!!

*lucretia also waves at Pammy*

i dont know about anyone else but i am well aware of who reads this forum, though a great many of them are too chicken to admit it like Pammy. and finding out the opinion of the real world is why i come to this and other forums. Loving it that pammy has mentioned it actually!

I think it's great that those with ' influence' read these forums
(Sorry , didn'tknow how else to put it , but hopefully you understand my meaning )

No , it's not me - Pammy Hutton would run for the hills if she saw how seriously rubbish I am on a horse

I makes perfect snese for the "powers that be" to read this and other forums.
Maybe, just maybe the next time someone thinks about posting "but your just a newbie, what do you know?" they will think twice

jabbathehutton - she will hunt you down and string you up for that one, artyannie !!!! i am afraid of her and I only met her once at a distance, and she still scared the pants off me. Her writing is great and I do like her H&H column, but she is definitely what I would call a formidable lady.

maybe we should have a Spartacus-type outing session;
"i'm Pammy Hutton"
"I'm Pammy Hutton"
"I'm Pammy Hutton"
"I'm Pammy Hutton, and so's my wife"

If you are reading Pammy please can we have some changes to the bits that can be used in dressage!!
Actually who's going to be brave enough to start a new post about ' What changes we would like to see in British Dressage rules', that might be pretty interesting!
OK signing off from shamefully chicken to start a new post!
