Panama sport horses

He's a dealer so I am guessing he won't be too hard to find!!

I know people who have been there and noone ever reported that it was difficult to get there..

Are you going t ouse the gallops? Is so can you report back on what it is like??

Thanks

yes i am :) normally go to crow wood but they are really short now they've put the new arenas in so thought i'd try here for a change- not much further away i don't think. they look nice on the website

Let me know if they are any good. Was thinking of crow wood for Saturday. How much shorter have they made them?

a lot shorter- its just the first stretch that runs alongside the motorway and then back round to the start - i'd say that they are half the length they were at least

Very disappointing to hear about Crow Wood's gallops. Panama looks lovely, in fact I wish it was nearer as looks like great facilities for liveries.

the gallops were great- highly recommend if you want to do some proper fittening work- the hill is great- really long and up a good incline! it was a bit fiddly once off the motorway (not in terms of difficult to find but lots of bends in the road) so it took me just under an hour from Bury...but think i would rather travel a bit further as was quite disappointed last time i went to crow wood!

i took the picture when i was walking back down the hill - gives you an idea :)

A quite novicey friend of mine from Kendal is selling her first horse, she wants to find a really nice home as quick as poss and is thinking of sending him to Panama on selling livery. What was your general impression of the yard when you were there? Not sure if you are allowed to post this sort of thing so if in doubt would you PM me with your impression.

Thanks for the 'report back'. I used to go to Crow wood a lot before the new build so was disappointed to learn it had been shortened.

Panama looks a good choice. Have you tried the Paul Grindrod ones? If so how do they compare??

Many thanks again

not personally. my friend went and wasn't impressed but baggybreeches on here said they are good. that's going to be my next visit- its closer for me than panama so its worth checking out
the ones today were much more testing than crow wood coz so hilly :)

I've been using the ones at Kelsall Hill, thats probably no more than an hour from Bury. They do some really good deals on using gallops and arena or gallops and farm ride to make it worth the journey and also have loyalty cards to build up to free visits!
