Think one of mine has this, still under going tests at the moment but was mentions she will.have to go on a low fat diet.

She currently has either arden Grange puppy biscuits soaked, hifi meat, fishmongers depending on what type of mood she is in to eat as he appetite has been very up and down and some days she only picks at food.

Currently has high temp, no energy, slightly dehydrated and acts nauseous towards food

After her steroid jab tonight she has woofed down a good amount of white fish. She is on chicken or fish and rice for a week the. Another check up.

Mine has pancreatitis, he is on Hills I/D low fat dry and wet dog food, white fish and chicken. but still has regular episodes of being unwell unfortunately.

Thank you.

She is groaning and grumbling everytime she lays down so I think she is hurting some where as showing signs my collie did of pain but all we have to go on is

High temperature
On and off food
Looking like she wants to be sick
Episodes of high salivating
No energy
Being overly grumpy and clingy
Just wants to sleep all the time

She was spayed in October and hasn't been right since, she had bad phantoms before had too so has had a rough six months.

Vet check up on Thursday.

have the vets run bloods, pancreatitis can be really painful, where I work it is treated as an emergency so waiting till thurs seems like a long time to me

Bloods haven been run and nothing major showing up apart from slight raised enzymes, can't remember which but they went with dehydration. Also the blood was like sludge to come out.

She sort of improved on antibiotics and then had a steriod injection that should last five days but se only picked up for an hour or two after having it.

Going yo ring up tomorrow to see if we can bring it forward as she really isn't right.

Thank you.

Was told they think its mild grumbling pancreatitis but every thing I read says its blood tested.

Even the vet agrees she isn't well at all just not pointing to anything conclusive

sounds like she has had general bloods? Have they done the specific blood test pancreatic lipase? This is usually a test that is done and sent off to an external lab.

If you can get her in sooner I would. Pancreatitis is very painful. Pain relief is key. Critical patients would be placed on a drip and feeding tube if necessary.

Good luck

Ours is a pancreatic lipase test too and I am told it gives a confirmed diagnosis, patients would be treated as in patients due to the level of pain and, drips and tube feeding are common, sending them home without a confirmed diagnosis is not

She had ultrasound on her stomach, looks like a cyst, lump etc in her tummy by her bladder. Might be from when she was spayed a few months ago so having a exploratory op to find out what it is on Wednesday.

Thank you everyone
