I'll keep this as short as poss! He's been here a week, last raced 2.5 weeks ago, 7 years old flat racer with 35 starts. Have spoken to every one of his trainers since 2 years and all said no soundness issues at all. Am I going mad or does his spine look really wrong and not straight? I know he's sort of twisted in the lying down pic but even so it still looks odd to me from behind?

He has chiro coming in a week regardless

It would be impossible to tell from photos. He is not standing square for one, in any of them, and the light is bad. Sorry.

He is probably going to be built up more on one side than the other, this may give the appearance of him not being straight, in training a horse will usually favour one leg and naturally become slightly stronger on the dominant side even if the gallops are straight they will not work equally, it will take a fair while to correct after a long racing career, he will benefit from physio and lots of slow steady work to build up some topline, I would be more concerned that he is turning into a Hippo!!!

Thanks, he had physio out today... if you could see him coming in from the field every day you would certainly call him hippo, he's taking his new freedom and turnout very seriously!!
