So whilst Katie did so so well yesterday, i did too!!

(altho you might not think it from my title!!)

Warmed up for an hour and a half and she was going beautifully, went in and did the best test i have ever ridden - she was supple, off my leg and relaxed into my hand. I was beaming when i came out

So went to check my score and i got 70.19%!!!!!!!!!! OMG!! for an open class and for me and Bloss that is a serious score!! Got same marks from both judges nearly - 182 from 'c' and 183 from 'b'. Was in the lead for a while then someone got 1% more than me, so was down to second. Then the second to last person to go went and got 73% - she absolutly deserved it as her test was just amazing, but it meant i came 3rd overall and missed out on the Winter Championships by 1%, as only 1st and 2nd qualify

I was totally gutted as im now not going in April as that was my last chance to qualify

She went so well and i was so pleased, but our medium trot let us down yet again.........
 
It certainly is - but you did your best and that's the hard part - other times that 70% mark would've had you winning the class - it is a hard pill to swallow sometimes isn't it!
Well done on the test though!

Bad luck, and well done at the same time. Sounds like on any other day you would have got the qualifying spot too

That's a real shame but how brilliant! There you was telling us all how you didn't stand a chance and you missed out by a cats whisker!

As H's Mum says, on another day that mark would have won it for you, so don't be too disheartened.

Well done, I'm sure you'll get to the finals next year

That is a brilliant score - well done you! Bugger qualifying or winning, you know how well you did on the day, and I'm glad that the score reflected it.

Not being nosy, but why was that your last chance to qualify? Are you out of points at that level? (sorry, just curious).

Aww hunny! what a super result, but of course i am gutted you didnt get to qualify by such a small margin.

Is there no chance that the other two had already qualified?
 
unfortunately not - the girl that beat me by 1% had won the medium restricted qualifier the day before on the same horse!!!!! i really had no chance!!

madmare - im out of novice points, and got 21 to go until im out of elementary points!!
 
Hi! Wow well done you! I did come by to see you but by that time you were warming up so i left you too it as I didn't want to cause any distraction. I smilled at you when you drove in, I was the curly haired girl having a cigarette on the grass by the entry to the horse box parking.

I am so excited about my little man but am going to do a write up as soon as I downlaod my piccies.

That is so fantastic for you though you did amazingly!

Atleast you did really well though - that is a fantastic score and a great achievement and its very dissapointing that, on the day, someone just scraped that little bit more!
 
Do you have a pink lorry? I thought I recognised your horse but wasn't sure. I think we were parked opposite you if so? Fab score btw!!
 
i'm not really clued up on the area festivals only the regionals but i thought that they were meant to be run along the same lines so don't they offer wild cards?? If so, your sure to get one with a fab score like that!!!
