What on earth is the weather like at your end? It has been p***ing down all day here and I have left Fly and Harry in all day. can somebody remind the gods it is JULY after all! What a joke, roll on winter. x

We had about 6 weeks without rain up here in Scotland and it has pretty much rained every day for the last 3 weeks with more to come!! Feels more like autumn than summer now!

I feel like a bad owner today. I'm struggling for money a bit and thought i'd save on letting my mare live out. Finished the £30 big bale of hay yesterday so decided tonight would be her first night out... And its pouring with rain! Shes got her lightweight on so im sure she will survive. But im also a little bit worried cuz on her section on individual turnout none of the other horses live out. Theres a hedge between her and the ones that live out so she knows they are there but cant really see them. Shes a laid back mare and never been a problem being the last one out.

Yard owner is gonna check on her about 9pm and her bed is ready if she needs to be brought in. But I have no hay for her. Someone tell me im being paranoid for no reason.

It has been evil here for a few days now, very wet and windy and quite chilly. We NEED a nice day tomorrow

I'm so soft, driving home just now at 9.30pm I get guilty as my horses are in a little paddock with no hedges, so I went via the farm and swapped them over to one with hedges.

Sorry everyone but this weather is all down to me! I'm LOVING it! My rescued mare has severe ragwort poisoning and even the haziest sunshine burns her savagely. She is in during the day and out at night = almost the same amount of mucking out as during the winter. When the weather is grey and overcast and not a glimpse of the sun, Angel doesn't have to stay in = almost NO mucking out. YAY!!! Send down the rain Lord! He he he xxx

Its very changeable here. I wanted to have a picnic today but it looks as though we will have to dash back up to the house with all the food wrapped in tablecloths because it is almost bound to rain at some point

I'm so glad it's raining, the ground is far too hard for eventing! Shame about your picnic though FinellaGlen, and I suppose it is meant to be summer =)

wet and windy here, horse is even in - just been to a show and they just cancelled the rest of the classes as the hard ground then rain is making it v slippery.not impressed at all.

It's really mixed here today. Absolutley chucked it down from about 7pm yesterday until about 10am today, then had an hour or so of sunshine so our guys were turned out to stretch their legs. Got them back in just in time for it to throw it down again so they're in for the night again now. Where's the summer gone?!!
