The Catwalk incident showed him as a prat who can't practice what he preaches - but the outcry over Catwalk has been pretty extreme (even in the eyes of someone who can't stand Parelli!)

The APPALLING cruelty of wild horse racing is a MILLION times worse than anything Parelli could do at his worst - and it is going on constantly in the USA and elsewhere, no doubt!) sponsored by big business.

If HALF the energy expended on knocking Parelli could be put into stopping THIS - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RM1I8AnhGWY - then something could be achieved.

I'm not going to apologise to those of you who clicked that link and promptly lost your breakfast!

But once you've mopped up - and before you scream your outrage at me for posting something so hideous - please go to http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/endwildhorseracing/ and SIGN!!

Since this link appeared on H&H, only a few hundred signatures have been added - are you all ASLEEP?? Did you miss it because you were SO busy being outraged at a silly American in a Stetson showing how useless he could be at horse training??

PLEASE vent your outrage where it trulybelongs! And while you're at it, please e-mail the White House and ask the President to make an end to wildhorse racing a PRIORITY of his administration! http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/

And please keep this thread UP!

Gosh well said.

Waiting for breakfast to go down a bit more before clicking link though (honestly).

Thanks JanetGeorge.

Watched the film, well could only see 10 secs before tears clouded my vision.

Donated $10 and signed the petition at Whitehouse.

Dear god :(

I'm not normally one for doing this but had to stop the vid before I cry in the office. :(

Couldn't watch the whole thing, that poor bay horse :(

Humans really are quite horrible :(

Signed :(

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, awful as it was to watch. I missed it the first time round but have signed the petition now.

Agree with you re. Parelli too. I guess that when you see what goes on in America you can understand why he has his devotees over there.

I signed, and i had to stop watching after about 30 seconds. Thanks for alerting this to us all, and i agree with you completley.

Horrific. I will be signing.

However, I don't think that what happened to Catwalk and some other Parelli subjects is any less significant.

Cruelty is cruelty. So I signed BOTH petitions, relevant to each horrible practice.

Janet Well said!

Watched the video when origionally posted and signed the petition.

With your permission I would like copy your post to another forum I use in the UK?

Will also get a Dutch translation done and get this up on some of the Dutch Forums.

Good post JG; have already signed and agree with Tennessee that cruelty is cruelty, but this is sadly another level completely :(

Well said. It's shameful and embarassing that the other issue is getting more outrage than something like this. Signed.

Signed :mad: This is truely stomach turning. An absolute outrage and I hope this petition takes off and has a positive effect. No animal should have to suffer like that - especially not for 'entertainment' :(:(

well said JG.... I can't watch the vid as I'm at work, but am satisfied by your arguement enough to have signed the petition.

it isn't the NH movement that's to blame for the whole catwalk incident... it is only PP himself. What ever your thoughts on Parelli, NH or whatever, it was PP that was doing the demonstration and that behaved the way he did, no-one else prompted that. (That's not to say that anyone else wouldn't have lost thier temper or that anyone else could have made any better/worse job of it). My point is that people need to separate the outrage from the NH movement and Pat Parelli. and as JG said... there's much worse things out there to be outraged about!

Have signed. Not sure if it has already been done but could someone link it in to facebook and send the petition around on there - sure to get a lot more signatures. (I would but am not on it).
