Parelli opinions and Buck stop

I DO not mean to offend any by this but who thinks parelli is more money making than being at one with your horse. Im more for the monty roberts way, dosnt cost and we can all do it. Also while im at it id love to hear opinions on the Buck Stop, i DO NOT use one but i beleive they are a good initial quick fix but then the underlying problem can then be easier to sort.
 
dont get everyone started on the whole parelli thing again today! have got a buckstop actually but it doesnt work cos my boy doesnt need to put his head down to do a handstand! or didnt i should say *touches wood*
 
O god sorry i didnt mean too i was just wondering how many people actually think is worth it im not actually trying to offend the people who do it/successful
 
I kind of agree with teh buckstop. Some horses buck because they know they can and that it will get their rider off, not because of pain etc.
 
lol ur not offending me, the parelli threads do tend to start civil war tho! no i dont think its worth it personally i agree with you, *ducks and runs for cover*

I did originally love MR and thought everything he said was brilliant (this was MANY years ago :P- i was young and naive) But when i started to read about some of his methods i started to disagree. There is no quick fix for a bucker, only a lot of hard work, and the buck stop does not seem such a humane way of doing it to me. The fact of the matter is- it causes pain, and i don't think pain should ever be a way of stopping something- i only see more problems in the future.

But overall i like some of his more passive long term methods.
