Parelli techniques - this Forum can DO something

OK - this post just to bump it up. I'll draft a first cut to (1) address a careful question to the Parelli machine in general to ask for their thoughts on the massive negative response that thinking horse owners/lovers, both professional and amateur, offer when awkward questions are raised on the Forum about specific Parelli work/videos. How many people does it take to be out of step before someone realises that it's THEY who are out of step? Just for balance, it might be an idea to post a poll (for confidentiality of replies) to ask Fan, Was Fan But Not Any More, Never a Fan so that we have the facts. Then 2) to ask for an explanation of what LP is trying to achieve in the specific training video. Case studies might be helpful but I already know what the answer to that will be - you weren't doing it right! If there are case studies where an approved trainer was involved and it all went horribly wrong that would be helpful, although for balance it would be necessary to include case studies where it all went right. A couple of years ago, this Forum used the collective energies of its members to mount Operation Esther in response to the Amersham horrors. We can at least question something we feel is wrong. I have always been convinced that the combined experience and commitment of this Forum is vastly underused!!!!!
 
I think they have to be made aware that we will no longer be fobbed off with the 'you don't understand' line that they usually use. They have to be told that it is patronising and demeaning to those of us who question them particularly as many of us have been around horses for years and managed very well without resorting to abuse and also because many of us are above average intelligence and can actually see exactly what is happening. We need answers, not excuses and change not whitewash.
 
I think that the Parelli's PR team would stomp on the letter bigtime, but things are starting to move don't you think as quiet alot of us on the forum are talking about them and things are getting out by word of mouth. Must do if Pat Parelli made some form of a sorry about Catwalk.:):)
Just one thing I have noticed in the For Sale ads, you don't see many Parelli trained adverts?;);););)

Ok folks... if we all feel so strongly why not go to the next pp demo en mass and ask the questions in person ...

Presumably because it would cause a football style riot with the Parelli fanatics. The P's themselves would be quietly whisked away and would then gain the public sympathy vote because their demo was spoiled.

Definitely wise to avoid anything becoming too emotional, and that's exactly what would happen. Stick with a letter and be as objective and factual as possible. Emotion must have nothing to do with it.

Oh lets do something British and polite.... you there yes you american person I am realy quite cross... I think im going to have to send you a letter!!!! .... Cowards...!!!! seriously if you lot realy think it is promotion of animal abuse go and make a noise otherwise, egnore them!!! let them twirl their ropes, go back and too and piddle about and do the games that make pat and linda's living... and stop sniping from the sidelines..

besides...didn't someone already post info on where LP had adressed the details of this video already after complaints? and wasn't it years ago?
 
count me in,
after watching one video in particular i was reduced to tears, smacking it round the head with lungelines etc, all because he was abit of a fidget - but arn't all 3yr olds ?!?!
I find Monty Roberts inspiring but i would never recommend parelli to anyone - infact the complete opposite !
 
I think the word is spreading, keep it up posters, as I said word of mouth. we don't need them over here. Their outlook on horses are complete differant than ours. Why is their way best and we poor Brits are clueless:mad::mad::mad:
