PARELLI this weekend!!!!

Money, Money, Money, it must be funny, in a rich man's world...

you pay's your money...but you can't make a choice....

parrelli ....equals "cash-cow"...

[ QUOTE ]
I dunno I have a friend who has recently come back from 6 weeks in the States and she is a bit like a born again Christian.

[/ QUOTE ]

Excuse me, as a Born Again Christian myself, I can take a lot of abuse, but I think comparing us to Parelli is taking it a bit far.

You wouldn't risk saying that to a Muslim, would you?

No, not the wrong end. The wrong colour, dear

Mind you, you may have a point, the approach rings a bell, I suppose.

I have you know, I've taken some abuse for my faith, but I do call this taking it a bit far!

I can't say it's my cup of tea, but not sure I'd pick on someone who posted that they were looking forward to going to a demo - each to his own.

Now if someone said they were going to watch dressage all day I'd have something to say. lol

[ QUOTE ]
Haven't seen one yet, just unhappy horses doing things because they are scared of the consequences of not doing them.

...

That's not horsemanship, that's animal cruelty and I would a. punch her and b. report her if I ever see her personally do this.

[/ QUOTE ]

It amazes me how people can have such differing opinions, what you see when you watch parelli is what I see when I watch horse's showjumping and to a lesser extent doing dressage. There's nothing like whip marks and spur scars to tell you the horse really doesn't like it's job but does it through fear.

[/ QUOTE ]

You'll NEVER see whip marks or spur scars on my horses thank you very much as I never carry a whip, nor do I wear spurs.

i carry a whip...and wear spurs, but you'd be very hard pushed to find ANY mark on either of my rideables...

what a sweeping statement to make..

My point exactly! The sweeping statements people make on this forum about Parelli are the exact same as the statement I made. Not all Parelli people don't ride, not all Parelli people have head shy horses and not all horses that do Parelli are doing it out of fear. In the exact same vein not all showjumpers gag their horses to the eye balls, but some do. Not all dressage horses get whipped into submission, but some do. And not all eventers use spiked boots, but some do.

Thank you for making my point for me

what point was that then?

[/ QUOTE ]

That I had made a sweeping statement in saying all showjumpers hated their jobs and only did it out of fear.

I know there are manay showjumper that love their job but I made the statement to make a point that saying all Parelli horses hated their job and did it out of fear was a sweeping statement in itself, there may be a few out there but they are no all miserable as is the case with showjumpers

Just seeing if anyone will be going to the conferance this weekend in Birmingham?

Lol.

That is all.

I think it's fair to say that 90% of horsey people who know about horses and their behaviour etc and have had horses for a long time think that Parelli is a bit of a farce.

But please correct me if I'm wrong.....

If I were going to be picky I might take you up on the 'bit of a' but I'm feeling generous .....
