I agree with HH and Ifield it would be better to get a professional to break him. But don't just pick the cheapest. Do your homework find someone well known for good results not just someone who can hang on. It will be worth it in the end.

Don't ever ever wish you hadn't asked a question. It's better to get different opinions especially when your not sure what to do next. He really does need breaking before he gets any older. Good luck and keep us posted on his progress.
 
IF he is now 6 ( from your ages, time with him) and not rideable, then "Boarding School"
Send him to a professionla and msot will have a horse trained in mannes and 3 paces in six weeks.
Then go and have some sessione with him till you are donfidnet together.
A lot of peole do sensible professional schooling and use normal training methods. .
Tel us where you are and someone could probably receommend a trainer.

Ifyou have a horse who is no 6 and unrideable and no good wiht strangers, I thinkit is time to send him to ''Boarding School'' A lot of professional riders who break and school horses would have him happy and rideable in about 6 weeks.

Otherwise, whatever training system you buy, you will end up with just a big pet.
