For all those who read my previous post...
You know i said that he hadn't been at all lethargic? Well, i went to see him yesterday (didn't ride, monday usually his day off) and put him out (doesn't seem to make a difference whether he is in he had a canter round, rolled etc, seemed happy enough, but not quite as exuberant as normal. Then today, vet and i arrived at same time (was running late- but YO had kindly brought him in) and i was explaining to vet that he hadn't been quite as perky but definitely not lethargic.... we went into the stable, and he was standing at the back not eating
so, so unlike him. However did eat once 'shown' his haynet.
Vet (who has treated him for severaly years) commented on his lack of spark, especially when he came to rasp his teeth (he had one sharp one, which, although obvs wasnt causing him pain, could apparantly have been affecting his chewing so everything wasnt digested properly) and Parker just let him- normally we have to chase him round the stable
So vet took some bloods, temperature, heart rate all normal, asked me a lot of q's- when thought about it he has been drinking quite a lot recently, which led the vet to think there is a small chance of Cushing's
but no other symptoms so let's hope not...
Vet advised me to keep him in light work so he doesn't stiffen up etc, and keep feeding him up (gave him a feed which he ate normally)
Bloods back tomorrow hopefully, so more then
Vibes for Parker please....
