We are very excited to be taking our horses down to St Just in Penwith this summer.

Does anyone know about parking for a trailer at Marazion or any other beaches worth a go?

Marazion to Long Rock is a decent beach when the tide is out. Parking at either the station car park west of Marazion or the West End car park more towards the village itself.

Also consider Gwithian and Perranporth, both amazing beaches on the north coast.

Bear in mind, though, that the beaches will be packed during the summer months if the weather is even half decent. Very early morning or evenings are better. The tide will need to be out(ish) though, so tide tables will be your guide!

The moor and country lane riding around St.Just is lovely too and I would also recommend trailering to the Great Flat Lode near Redruth for miles and miles of off-road riding taking in incredible views and much of Cornwall's tin mining history.

I'm biased but I think the riding in Cornwall is some of the best in the country. I hope you have a wonderful time!

The long rock car park is closed at the moment,it is supposed to be open at the end of this month, but I are not holding my breath.Big car park by Jordans cafe,This is towards marrazion,a nice slope to get onto the beach.Happy beach riding.

One of the bonuses of Marazion is that when the tide comes in, it's shallow for quite a distance and is quite sheltered so good for encouraging them to paddle, but Gwithian/Godrevy is one of the best for a really good canter. Parking can be better there in the pay and display car park by the Rockpool bar.
