Hey, i have a TB 6yr old gelding who has just started his reschooling.
When he gets angry with me, or gets confused when being ridden he grinds his teeth. Have had the dentist checked him who said he is all okay now but he said he has a parrot mouth.
Just wondering if your horses have parrot mouthes and what bits you have in them? :)

Ours has a slight parrot mouth. Ridden at home in a full cheek copper snaffle with a lozenge (hates a single joint) but had hassle with finding a bit for jumping. Goes fab in a waterford 3 ring gag but it nips his lip, just trying a myler with a high port that collapses at the minute (not sure what it is, no nothing about mylers!)

He also needs his teeth doing regularly- every 6 months without fail xx

He has the dentist regularly, last time 2 weeks ago.
He has a WH ultra snaffle now, that he goes fab in for what he is doing. Not started jumping yet so just a bit for schooling and hacking basically but may change if need be when we do more. Just wondering what bits people have in their parrot mouthed horses :)

A parrot mouth, unless it is especially severe or accompanied by other mouth deformities, should not affect the action of the bit, no matter what it is. Most parrot mouths are not significant, i.e. don't have an effect.
