I was once told if you don't know what breed it is, it's a Jack Russell. But is this one supposed to be a Parson's Russell (KC registrable) or a Jack Russell (non-registrable)? Certainly doesn't look like a Parson's.

People often refer to 'taller/leggier' Jack Russels as Parsons type.

He looks great, but then I do like a Jack Russel with longer legs as they tend not to go to ground.

People tell me he's a Parsons and insist he must be 'as he has long legs'. A few have got quite indignant when I say he's not

Him and his sister were throw backs from about 5 generations back. His ancestors all have short legs and his sister has had two litters, again all the pups have short legs. Not that I'm bothered as he's still 'mummies little man' regardless of how long his legs are
