Hello all.

Thinking of getting myself a little companion. Does anyone have a parsons terrier?

What are they like in general. I've read loads on the internet but wanted to talk to people who actually have experience with them, whether that's owning one or knowing someone who does.

I spend a lot of time with my horses on my days off (pup would come with me), I work 2 full days and my youngest child is 7. I have 2 chihuahuas also. I have had dogs all my life :)

Also, I'm very up for putting a lot of work into a puppy with regards to socialisation basic training etc

Thanks in advance.

I have a friend that breeds and shows Parsons Russel Terriers. They are nice little dogs, I see a lot of that type doing agility, they are quick to learn, very trainable and I think they are very much a breed that the more effort you put in the more you get out.
Not known any have any injuries/health issues and they seem to live long lives.
I think they are a good choice especially if you are prepared to put lots of good basic training in place, and keep the dogs brain busy.

My dad has one, he is his little shadow. They go just about everywhere together, he sleeps under his duvet and lays on his feet while he works.

He really is the cutest little thing!!! Hyper and will play continually but adorable.
