Part cow?!

He looks okay except that bridle only picture. It takes all sorts and not everyone wants a posh WB or TB! Certainly not "part cow" Remember you are talking about someone's horse, they obviously love it.

oh it's only a bit of fun. You have to admit he does look a funny shape in that photo.
We have one at the yard that we call half cow and the owner thinks it's hilarious! It's all done in good humour.

And i certainly dont have a 'posh' horse - mine is a complete heinz 57 with sarcoids, splints, lumps and bumps - i describe him as part llama beacuse of his stupid big ears!

There is so much sadness in the horse world at the moment, can we not just have a giggle from time to time :D

Of course we can have a giggle, having had some nasty remarks about Fany I just wonder what the owner would think?

Chico is most definitely a "posh" horse, I think he is gorgeous! You have a llama, I have a giraffe and a hippo!

Awww bless him, he is cute! His markings against the dark background make him look a bit funny in the confo shot but he looks a nice sort, got a very sweet face :)

My apologies to the owner - she has a very lovely quirky horse, who, may have a small passing resemblance, at a certain angle, to a pretty bovine ;)

As for Chico being 'posh', lmao, really?

And yes, I love your signature. To me "posh" is not about winning rosettes or comps, to me it is a good looking horse who is obviously happy and has good confo.

Actually the cob would be perfect for my mum if she were looking, i want something small for her to handle on the ground but have a leg at each corner and a good weight carrier. This little lad would be perfect!

In that case, yes, Chico may be a bit posh then, but only because he is a very very happy boy, who gets away with more than he should because his mum loves him to pieces. :o:D

Just what I was thinking and yes, OP, I do know that you have since apologised but I was rather surprised to see that you have skewbald. Usually those of with unusual horses are more careful what we say about others'.
FWIW, I think the horse in the ad has a lovely face.

I am sorry that my original post seems to have been misread.

It was not intended as an 'OMG look at the state of that it's hideous' post but as a light hearted giggle at a funny camera angle.

I will request the Mods remove it if it is upsetting people, sorry :(

ooh, he looks a lovely sort, splendid chap - bad comments about Fany? NEVER!!!!!

Unfortunately there are people who think that all horses should be WB or TB and anything else is not worth it! (not Paint Me Proud) I have a KWPN ex-pro horse and never had a bad word about him but Fany has had all sorts of nasty comments made. I posted in Breeding about breeding from her, bearing in mind she was a champion show horse in Belgium, has almost perfect confo for an Ardennes and comes from excellent showing stock with many champions in her lines and with the horse named best Ardennes stallion ever as g-sire.

I got nasty comments via PM. Apparently she is "useless" She can't jump very high, this is true, Totillas does not quake when her name is mentioned but she is the kindest, sweetest and gentlest horse I have ever met. Virtually bombproof, no horse is 100% imho, she has given Elizabeth back her confidence after a horrendous fall.

She is not useless, she give so much to so many. She is a great favourite on our yard and our YO says she has " a nature to die for" and is a YO's dream of a livery horse!

Oh dear I am ranting will shut up now!

i think Fany is just lovely, but i am a huge Fjord fan so like my heavies and Ardennes are no exception :D

I like each horse on his or her own merit, be it short, tall, hairy, smooth, spotty, plain.

Well I've got a branded Westphalian who looks just like a bigger version of Fany -so I wonder what those rude people who PM'd you would make of her?

Ssh! Don't tell them that her pedigree says that she is a 'Kaltblut' and I have sneaking suspicion that she must actually have a large percentage of Ardennes in there somewhere. She is also absolutely perfect for the nervous/novice/can't be bothered with bad behaviour rider, who really doesn't want to be jumping around in front of the traffic and who doesn't particularly want to jump over anything more than 6" high.
She has one of the nicest equine personalities I've ever come across.

Lol! See every horse should be valued, every horse has a job to do and a lot to give.

People who know me know i have a strong resistance to the norm, i like anything that doesnt fit the mould ;)

I would proudly ride the above little man at local dressage, even if we got it all wrong :D:D

*tongue in cheek* careful or you'll have JingleJoys after you! He is a sweetie, hope someone buys him and gives him a forever home. I would love a mule, still a giraffe and a hippo are what I have!
