Those of you that have your horses on part livery do you pay the same amount all year round. I mean even if the horse goes out 24/7 in the summer months?

I've only ever been on DIY but am looking into part livery and was just wondering if it was the norm to pay the same whether they are in or out all year?

In the past when I have been on part livery I have paid the same amount whatever the season. One year I decided to turnout my horse out 24/7 for the summer, the fees were reduced to grass livery only. That was a long time ago and if I did this again I would expect to pay a retainer for the stable if I expected it to be kept for me, as well as for the grass livery.

When I was on part-livery I paid the same all year round, even though my horse was out for 3-4 months in summer. I found it evened out throughout the year as I'd use more haylage in winter, and less hard feed.

If your horses are out im summer 24 x 7 your only pay for your stable and grazing which is usually £20 part diy as most people come and ride during the summer months and there is less to do bu when they come in my part livery includes morning feed, water topped up rugs changed, boots on if needed if going out winter turnout and feet picked out, it also inclues haylage, 1 bale straw, use of menage, electric water and free box trailer parking, late night check. I charge £45.00

i pay a basic £25 per week for stable and field whether my horse is living out or not. So even in the summer when i'm not using my stable it is the same price.

during summer turnout my part livery customers pay diy rate, unless they are what i term an absent owner then they carry on paying part livery price as i am checking twice day, still doing rugs /flyrugs/sprays etc
