Part livery question.......

Flicker you have absolutely and totally said the way I feel..... you have a wonderful way with words :) :)

Thank you! If you have that feeling, hang onto it. It doesn't happen with every horse, in my experience, and is very special when it does xx

I've only had horses on full livery ( called part down south iirc - feeding, mucking out, turn out, rug changes, feet done etc - not riding) or at home.

The care my horses have received has been wonderful, treated as though he is their own horse, corners never cut in his care ( have been on 2 very different yards). If there was any issue arisen ( for example new member of staff forgot to top up bedding when new shavings were delivered) it was always rectified immediately.

I still have a very close bond with my horse, it could be argued even more so. As my time at the yard I spend with him, and not faffing around with other things. Yes there are others involved in his day to day routine, but this doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest. The fixed routine is comforting to them also.

I really feel I am in the situation where I would only choose full/part - or keep at home. DIY sounds very stressful!

For location i entered Hartpury,.Hill farm stables @ Longney ,7 miles away. Phelps livery @ Stratford bridge 8 miles away . Maybe to far from your area, just trying to help you out.
