Ok so this seems to vary from yard to yard as to what service you get.

What do you guys get done on part livery, what bedding does yours include etc

And the price and area your in would be good.

Just ive compared 3 local yards and they all vary wildly??

Used to have my own yard - looked after part liveries as though they were mine, only didn't ride or clean tack. Would knock the worst of the mud off, but not groom thoroughly as owners like doing it (bonding!)

Ten years ago, charged £65.

Would charge about £100 now - depends where you are though! (we're in Glos) Would have unlimited forage and bedding, include turnout, rugging, feeding. Holding for farrier, vet etc - as I said, as my own, just getting paid for it!

Does that help?

part livery on my yard is your horse looked after mon-fri inc mucking out, turn out/bring in all haylage/bedding hard feed owner responsible for doing horse at weekends price £45 per week

When i lived in grimsby part livery included everything other than grooming and exercising, full livery was when horse was exercised groomed etc on top!
Now i am in scunthorpe they term part livery as full which includes turnout/rugchanges/mucking out/feed/bringing in,however on a wkend the owners muck out and bring in,and this is £63 a wk!

yeeharider - does your yard have good turnout, good school (floodlit and well maintained/ good surface doesnt flood or freeze) or a horsewalker or anything else and what size are the stables etc? Secondly where are you as that is so cheap!!
Amd same fore golddustsara!!

It depends on whereabouts in the country you are (i have found) and what facilites the yard has.

Mine is Mon-Fri turn out, bring in, feet picking out 2X and mucking out. It includes all hay, feed and one bale of shavings a week (or unlimited straw). Stables are all large (12 X 15) and have thick rubber matting and automatic water fillers. Large outdoor floodlit school with a great surface and a good horsewalker. Place indoors to hose off and all stables are indoors. Turns out all year round no matter what the weather unless you dont want them out, well maintained fields and very professional! Its £75 a week

Ness goes to my trainers yard for a couple of months Jan - Feb each year. Mon-Fri she is mucked out, turned out/brought in, feed, hayed etc but not exerciesd or tack cleaned. We do at weekends. In addition we have ad-lib use of indoor school and horses are put on walker each day. heated tack room, washing machine for numahas etc. Cost: £100/week and worth every penny AND we don't even have to get wet going from stables to indoor schoool!

for part livery i get a straw bed (could have shavings but straw is fine) haylage, feed. muck out in the morning, skip out at lunch (if in) and skip out in the evening this includes water and haying up. they feed as well unless you ask them not to. this cost £85 pw in west sussex.

we will have a horse walker soon (just needs finishing) and we have a floodlit sand school. half day turnout in the summer and limited turnout in winter. we also have very good off road hacking.

I'm on 5 day livery. They do 7 day which costs more but I'm happy to do mine at the weekend.
I get unlimited straw, hay and haylage. As the owner of a very dirty greedy horse the unlimited is very good for me.
They do everything really except tack clean, groom and ride. Horse gets caught and turned out as required. Rugs changed, boots done, feet picked out.
fed, watered haynets done.
Mucked out/skipped out.
Attendance for vets, farrier etc.

Costs £355 pcm
You can add hard feed for £20 a month but I choose to get my own I only feed a bit of alfa a and chaff.
Yard has very nice but average size stables.
Floodlit school
Every day turnout in small groups on well maintained fields.
It's my first year here but I'm impressed with how well the school and fields coped with the recent rain.
Fantastic hacking.

Horse is now in berkshire, 5 day a week t/o b/i muck out, rugs change inclusive good hay and 2 bags of shavings per week £90 a week, it would be £80 a week with straw. I do everything at the weekends. Yard has outdoor school, small indoor school, off road hacking and regular clinics.

My old yard in Hampshire- £75/pw part livery, included turnout/bring in, muck out, 1 bale of shavings per week, adlib haylage, rug change, basic feed (nuts and chaff with sugarbeet in winter), use of 2 indoor and 1 outdoor school, okish turnout but not fab.

The price was a few years ago now... according to the website it's gone up to £100/pw.

My part livery is horse being fed, rug changed, turned out, mucked out, buckets cleaned, bring in pm but no rug change etc

I then go up in the afternoon and rug change, wash feet off, pick out feet, make up feeds and hay.

Bedding is at £7.50 per bale
Hay at £3.30 per bale
Feed delivered to yard once a week
Free use of floodlit school, decent hacking, nice people etc

£50 per week.

My part livery that i am going to go to (when i find my horsey!) is basically full livery mon-fri and DIY sat and sun.

I get as much hay and bedding as i need and turnout all year round, nice big stables, 2 arenas, dressage shows on site, great hacking and a friendly YO for £84 a week.

And i supply the hard feed :')

Part livery on my yard is 7 day a week. Costs £90 pw.
For that your horse is turned out, bought in, rugs changed, mucked out, held for farrier/vet. Price includes 2 hard feeds a day, adlib haylage, straw bedding.
