Is this a good price for part livery.....

£62.50 per week (5 day week)
This includes:
Stable & grazing
Muck out
Turn out and bring in
Pick feet out
Rug change and put feed in.

I will have to provide on top of this, my hay and feed.

Does this sound reasonable?

Hi

Really depends on what facilities the yard has. The more it has the more you generally pay. Unless it has lots of facilities I'd say it was little pricey considering you have to provide hay and feed. Do they provide bedding?

Id say pretty good. I used to pay £59, for 5 days turnout, muckout and waters, basic feed, haylage and shavings included. Had to do your own haynet and feeds, bring in and do everything at weekends. Facilities included indoor, fields to ride in, thats about it.

I think that's an excellent price. 5-day livery at my yard, on the Bucks/Beds border is £90 (though I am not sure if that includes hay & hard feed, I think it does). Whereabouts are you?

Ignorant question ahead; when it says that liveries have to provide their own hay and feeds, does that mean you have to go up every day and make up the haynets / feed buckets for the next day? Or do you simply buy it in and store it there, and they will make up the nets / scoop out the hard feed?

Im just the other side of Olney near Bozeat.

The yard make up all feeds and haynet, you just store it there and they let you know how much they have used.

i live in olney. have to keep horse down in little brickhill though as couldn't find any decent livery up this way and now he's retired so just needs grass livery. price sounds good to me!

Sounds pretty reasonable. I pay £78 / wk in Northants for 7 day part livery, that includes hay, straw, feed and everything that you are getting too, good facilities as well. Wasn't there a strangles case in Bozeat a month or so ago??? (not scare mongering, just wanted to make you aware of it)

Yes, there was strangles in Bozeat a while ago, but it has all cleared up now.
