Hello,
We are considering taking on a puppy with visual problems. She was the runt of the litter and opened her eyes later than her littermates. Her corneas are very cloudy and she has been seen by a specialist vet (breeders are very good) and he is confident she has sight but it is unclear how much. The condition is very rare and the theory is that she was late in attaching to her mum in the womb as an embryo. I am sure the condition has a nmae but I do not know what it is!!
Any experiences with dogs with poor vision from the beginning? She would be living with another similar aged pup from the same breeder but completely different litter.
Any stories would be interesting - I have come across adult dogs with no sight but never a puppy.
Thanks in advance!
