Is it legal to have passengers travelling in the living area of a horse lorry? My daughters always travel there but I have been told this is illegal???

i thought it was ok if it had a living area that was accessible from the cab (open) and there were seat belts fitted. i might be totally wrong though.

Open cab but no seat belts.
Very handy to travel in back as they always clean their tack on the way to the event!

I'm pretty sure your not allowed to have anyone in the living when your going along, I recently did my hgv and my instructor told me that, I'm sure there is a post on here about it somewhere.....!

I do think its illegal, but people travel in the back of motorhomes. I saw somebody last week stood in the back of a trailer with the horse! Now that must be illegal.

Definately illegal in trailer, having tried it can't imagine why anyone would want to anyway! Very wobbly!
