My little spaniel has been going to her prospective new owner once a week for "familiarisation".
She has passed a few tests, not running off over the fields when on the yard, coming back when let off her lead out on a walk, totally ignoring the lone chicken that has free range on the premises. I am quite proud of her, its taken her along time to not be scared of me leaving her. The big final test will be the not being allowed upstairs at night, as she sleeps on my bed ! I hope this wont be a dealbreaker and she will accept being left downstairs without howling.Maybe new owner will be so impressed with her otherwise that she will relent! This home is the sort of place I would have liked to own and live in myself so I feel fairly settled in my mind about her now. I didnt want her ending up at a rescue kennels. Well done Meggie !
