passport advice needed

Hi, I have purchased a foal with a basic passport, horse passport agency, & as such holds no detail of breeding, dam/Sire etc. Is it possible to get this detail included? Not too bothered about the dam but would like sire listed as gives option to show part m&m?
Also, I am being given mixed advise,via different channels,re: option to re-register pony with different agency, and if possible how do I go about it? & which is best?! I am hoping to compete both inhand&ridden,Hunter type, expected to make 15hh-15.2hh

if the sire is licenced with a socitly you may be able to get your passport overstamped and have his breeding included. you would need dna though

This ^, if the stallion is licensed with a breed studbook then you could either re-register or get your current passport overstamped by that studbook, but as the foal is weaned and you would have no covering certificate you would definately need a dna test.

Can I share your post, I have a TB gelding whose passport is wrong,
his height is stated as 16 3hh but he's actually 17hh, no known parentage,
but he's an ex raceer.
How can I get his details correct on a passport

You can't unless you have a microchip number, what makes you think he's an ex racer ?

Puzzled as to why the small height difference matters to you?
Even more puzzled an ex-racer of unknown breeding
Can you trace his racing history on Racing Post?
Is the passport not his original Weatherbys?
I assume not having a correct passport would prevent you doing ROR classes
