Oh dear all my posts seem to have a confused icon next to them!

Obviously if a horse is being sold it has to legally have a passport, however if the horse is a pure native and registered with the appropriate breed society is this breed registration its passport?

Thanks all.

Not necessarily! Some breed societies do issue or update their own registrations and passports but not all of them.

With a registered native you should have a passport with all the breeding etc in it. The old single sheet breed registration forms should have been returned and replaced with a passport

The Highland Pony Society still issue the single sheet reg. document, which is still really important in their eyes. Each pony is also issued a Passport (blue Cover) with all it breeding details, I.D. etc
