Passport help!

I've recently moved house and lost one of my horses passports! I rang the passport agency and they said to have a good look for it before ringing back up, I've searched high and low and cannot find it :/ I rang them back and they couldn't find her on the database (she's not microchipped) so they've said to get her passported again (will have her microchipped too).
Has anyone had an older horse passported? She turned 8 in May. I'm worried they won't put her age etc on as that's what my friend said? I was hoping to affiliate her this year!

As you will be providing all the information that goes on to it I can not see why they will not have the correct age. My new horse Kev has a new passport, dated 2015 and it states his age etc etc etc, You going to have to mirochip and do the body map again and thats usually done by your vet, with you present.

If they couldn't find her on the database are you positive you have the right passport people?

One thing that they may do is put her birthday as 1st May for whatever year that you say.

My mare was born is 2010 but I didn't know her actual birthday so they standardised it and put it as 1st May 2010.

That is correct the HPA is only one of a number of commercial orgaisations who issue passports. If you applied to the wrong organisation you could be accused of not compling with EU262. You should get a replacement passport if DEFRA had not cancelled the NED it would be easier to find the correct PIO.
