Passport issuing organisations?

Whats the best PIO to go with if neither parent are registered with a specific stud book? Horse is a hunter stamp and I plan to show her, if that makes any difference?

SHB(GB) are the Governing body and passport issuing office for show hunters. However with the "bru ha ha" over the wearing of hats with harnesses they will be now only be running the RIHS qualifiers and the BSHA are now running the HOYS qualifiers. As far as I'm aware BSHA aren't PIO's so you have to become a member and register your horse as well as having a passport!!! with another society. If you are not going to be aiming at HOYS/RIHS you could register with any of the offices. It's all a bit of a mess at the minute. Hope this helps.

So BSHA do issue passports didn't realise.

So would it be better to go with them rather than SHGB for showing purposes?
