Passport/microchip query

I have had my foals new passport back today from the BSPA and where it says microchip it just says yes, not the number. The microchip label was on the application form. Surely the microchip number is a big part of her ID?.
Is this right or is the number hidden somewhere else in the paperwork????

FWIW, Adrian's passport has the full no, & when I had him vetted pre purchase, one of the things the vet did was to 'read' his microchip with a scanner & compare it with his passport - & he wanted me to double check for myself that they matched.

God reminds me I must get my passport amended as mine is now freezemarked and microchipped.
