I changed the name on my irish sports horses passport - just sent it back to the ISH board and they did it for me. Wouldnt do it normally but he has King of Diamonds in his breeding and his show name had Zirconi in it (i.e false diamond) - so I changed it!
I changed Bodeys, but his is just a Green Market Passport. Just sent it back to them and they crossed the old name out (Steve, I know, I know!) and put Bodey in.
I changed the name on my yearlings passport when I changed the ownership over. Her old origional name is still on the passport, in brackets under her new name.
I have been on the society's website and there is a form with a section saying - 'Changes to be made to passport - Equine details' would it go in this bit?
I haven't decided yet but his passport name is Fiddler, can't decided if i like it or not.
I think that would be the right section, my mare came with a form in her passport to change the ownership, on the back there was also a form to change her name, not sure how it would be done on line.
I really like the name Fiddler but in all honesty I feel like it needs more to it, I always think passport name should be more then one word
What's his stable name?
My Yearlings name was Tymarlis Phillipa or something odd like that, I changed it to Black Mountain Breeze
The law says the original name must always remain on the passport. Some breed societies use the first letter of the stallion name for its progeny so it is easier to see the bloodlines. C line has good jumpers and D line has good dressage.
No, never.
The breeder has chosen the passported name so I would retain it out of respect for them and also so they can track its results in the future. Stable names dont worry me so much
