Passport Query?

I bought my horse from his breeder and she got his passport in a rush when they came into force a few years ago. The sad thing is he has nice breeding and I would like to compete him under his prefix Trefeinon- the name on the passport is just Bertie! I noticed that for riding club you have to use the name on the passport as show name, would that be the same if I were to reg him BE as well?
there are a few problems with his passport anyway- his age is wrong as well. Have any of you had to change name/other info on passport and was it pain in the butt?!
Also he has a Pleasure Horse Society passport, seems a shame he doesn't have one relevant to his breeding, He is Wetherbys reg and part Irish Draught. Any ideas folks

Can you contact wetherbys? I bought an ex-racer USA horse and had a copy passport - I appleid thru Wetherbys and they issued a new one for about £15 charge. I also bought an ex-racer without passport (silly I know but two years ago) and have got a full TB racing passport for him now thru Wetherbys. You will need his microchip number scanned via the vets.
