My pony is going on sales livery at the weekend and they want to take her passport. Is this usual or should I keep it until she is sold?

The passport must go with the pony, the potential new buyers may want to see it and if you are trusting the yard with your pony you should be able to trust them with the passport.

Yes, Passport should be with the horse when at livery. I would however take a photocopy and ask for a receipt. Things do get lost.
