Hi, does anyone know/have experience, bought my daughters gelding in 2007 and i stupidly never got round to changing his details over to our name. Silly i know :-(

Anyway, looks like he may be going to a new home in the next couple of weeks, so will i be fined by the passport people (PetId)??? Also, am in contact with previous owner so can get a change of ownership form signed no probs, but will the change of ownership be shown on his passport as of todays(ish) date or 2007???

I know i can ring & ask PetID but didnt want to say/do the wrong thing over the phone.

I would ring pet ID and have a 'in theory...' conversation with them- don't give them your name or the passport number or any details that can be pinned down to you.

If you call them off your mobile and then later call them off your landline they shouldn't be able to trace you back to you... if you know what I mean!!

Ha ha, someone with the same train of thought as me, was worried about ringing & dropping myself in it lol

If they're definitely having the pony then why not get old owner to make the form out direct to them, will save you having a slap on the wrists?

Horse is hopefully going into the Police Mounted Unit, need the passport to have my daughters details on it so that they can contact her in the future to either have first refusal if he dosen't last the course or at retirement age.

There is no method set up for PIOs to report passport infringements to Trading Standards who are responsible for enforcement. There are not known to be any prosecutions that were not associated with other offences like Mr Gray
